One of the major keys to the Cleveland Browns’ offensive success this season has been yards after catch. The Browns’ playmakers have really made the most of their targets and have been able to extend drives. It has really helped the offense push the ball down the field when other things aren’t working.
KC Concepcion had one of the best games of his rookie year, and his ability to get yards after the catch was a massive part of that. On the opening drive for the offense, he was able to get a 23-yard
gain from a short pass. This was an extremely valuable third-down play and it helped the offense to move the ball when the quarterback wasn’t pushing the ball down the field.
Harold Fannin Jr. is another weapon that has been really successful in getting a significant amount of yards after the catch this season. He always fights through contact and gets those extra yards. He averages 6.2 yards after catch per reception thus far this season. This really helps the way that defenses have to approach the Browns since they have so many weapons.
