Good morning, baseball fans!
The San Francisco Giants are off today, before heading to the East Coast to take on the Baltimore Orioles tomorrow.
I wanted to try something new this season. I thought we could do something fun for off-days and watch some vintage Giants games of seasons past. I will try to take requests for these, so if there’s something you’d really like to see, please go ahead and leave it in the comments!
For today, I thought we would re-visit the only no-hitter I’ve ever actually gotten
to follow from start to finish, and the game that led to me joining the McCovey Chronicles community way back in 2015, after months of lurking.
That game would be Chris Heston’s no-hitter! The Giants have had several no-hitters in this century, and this one may not get the attention it deserves in the annals of history because of that. But it was a phenomenal accomplishment for the young pitcher! So I wanted to re-visit this game today.
Get your coffee, settle in, and enjoy!
