The Dallas Cowboys have the Houston Texans this weekend in an early slot, and could drastically change their fortunes by taking care of business this weekend. As for those who will be present and on the field in uniform Sunday, here is your final injury report of the week.
Dallas has ruled out DeMarvion Overshown and Cobie Durant. Both players will be sidelined by hamstring injuries. Durant’s absence this week was expected, and three consecutive DNPs confirmed what we all suspected. There was optimism that this could be the week that Overshown would be back, but his involvement on the field didn’t improve substantially enough to get him back in the lineup Sunday.
Shavon Revel (knee) was upgraded to full participation Friday and does not carry an injury designation. Dallas acquired Joey Porter Jr. this week from the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the hope is he will be available to play sooner rather than later. We’ll see how the snaps are split between Porter and Revel. Dallas will get safety Malik Hooker back.
Houston will be without hard-hitting Pro Bowl linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair, who has been ruled out with a groin injury. Nico Collins (hamstring) was upgraded to full participation Friday and he will play against the Cowboys. Meanwhile, Jadeveon Clowney (knee) was downgraded to DNP Friday. He is listed as questionable to play against his former team.
