Week 3 of the AEW Continental Classic is a wrap. Collision (Dec. 13, 2025) hosted a pair of fantastic matches with Claudio Castagnoli and Konsuke Takeshita slugging to a draw as well as “Speedball” Mike Bailey getting the better of Kevin Knight in an aerial battle. Let’s look at the updated league standings.

Claudio and Takeshita duked it out for first place in the Blue League, and they are still both in first place after a 20-minute time-limit draw. The CMLL world heavyweight champion and the IWGP world heavyweight champion threw haymakers throughout. With less than one minute remaining, Takeshita clobbered Claudio on the outside. Claudio barely beat the ten-count back into the ring, where Takeshita was waiting to deliver a thunderous running knee strike. That felt like the finish, however, it was not meant to be as Claudio kicked out on the cover. Takeshita continued for a Raging Fire driver, and Claudio escaped to counter for the Neutralizer. Takeshita kicked out on the pin. Time expired. Claudio and Takeshita weren’t satisfied, so they engaged in more fisticuffs until referees restored order. Each man earned 1 point for the draw.
Speedball is back in the hunt as a legitimate threat to advance out of league play. He picked up 3 points with a win over his JetSpeed teammate. Bailey and Knight agreed to pull no punches and hold nothing back. The story was familiarity to dodge or block signature moves. Knight gained the edge to connect on a coast to coast dropkick. When Knight went to finish with the UFO splash, Bailey put his knees up. Bailey took control with a flurry of kicks. When Bailey went to finish with the Ultima Weapon, Knight rolled away from impact. The closing sequence was an exchange of roll-ups. Bailey sprang to his feet to stun Knight on a head kick. Speedball sealed the deal on the Flamingo Driver. Respect remained between partners.
Promo time! Claudio and Takeshita have a feeling that they will meet each other soon, and Takeshita will show Claudio why he is the Alpha. Bailey and Knight pushed each other to greatness, and JetSpeed believe that they will meet again in the final.
