Barcelona moved another step closer to winning La Liga on Saturday night with a 2-1 win over Osasuna that put Hansi Flick’s side 14 points clear of Real Madrid at the top of the table.
Robert Lewandowski opened the scoring from a cross by Marcus Rashford before Ferran Tores made it 2-0. The goal was very much appreciated by injured star Lamine Yamal, who reacted on social media to the Shark’s strike.
The victory means that if Real Madrid fail to beat Espanyol on Sunday night then Barcelona will be crowned
La Liga champions for the 2025-26 season.
Ferran Torres spoke after the game and said he wants the title wrapped up as quickly as possible.
“Now we’ve put that pressure on Real Madrid, because if they don’t win tomorrow, we’ll be crowned champions,” he said.
“Today was one of the toughest grounds in LaLiga. The three points were worth more than just three, and the team played a fantastic match.”
