Barcelona midfielder Gavi has admitted he’s in dreamland after being called into the Spain squad for World Cup 2026
Gavi made coach Luis de la Fuente’s squad after successfully returning from a serious knee injury that saw him hit by another lengthy injury absence
The Barca star celebrated wildly after learning of his call-up and has now vowed to do all he can to make his country proud
“A dream come true, to be able to play my second World Cup representing my country!” he posted on Instagam.
“But this
one is going to feel different after all the suffering, falling and getting up twice in three years, but I assure you I’m going to give everything in me to bring us the World Cup home.
“It’s a pride and honor to be on this list of 26, let’s make you guys equally proud.”
