No. 2 Indiana football is set to take on Maryland on the road at SECU Stadium in College Park, Maryland, this weekend.
The Hoosiers are coming off a 56-6 home win over UCLA this past weekend. The Bruins had been on a hot streak prior to the trip to Bloomington.
Maryland sits at 4-3 overall, 1-3 in Big Ten play with the lone conference win coming against a Wisconsin team still working to win its first game against league competition. The Terrapins are on a three-game losing streak, falling to Washington,
Nebraska and UCLA. Now, each of those games was within reach for Maryland, but the Terps just weren’t able to pull it out. Freshman quarterback Malik Washington has looked good in his debut season, so that’ll be something for the Hoosiers to watch for.
When is the game and how can I watch?

Place: SECU Stadium in College Park, Maryland.

Fast Facts
- Indiana owns an 8-5 all-time series lead over Maryland, with the two playing annually since the Terrapins joined the conference. Indiana also took both games in a home-and-away series in the 1930s, one in Bloomington and another in Baltimore.
- Hoosier quarterback Fernando Mendoza’s 24 touchdown passes lead the Big Ten.
- Hoosier running back Roman Hemby transferred to Indiana after a lengthy career with Maryland
- Hey man, Old Bay is pretty good, huh?
Predictions
Maryland is tricky because the Terrapins have been competitive in each of their games against Big Ten foes. Could Hemby look to prove a point against his old team that effectively let him walk to a conference rival in the transfer portal? Perhaps. Indiana’s also gonna have to contain Washington, who for the most part has protected the football well this season.
This could be a weird one, but I see Indiana pulling it off on the road.
