Nico Paz is going to the World Cup with Argentina. Lionel Scaloni has announced his 26-man squad. The Como midfielder has been listed as a forward in Argentina’s official announcement. As reported earlier, Real Madrid’s Franco Mastantuono has missed out.
The Argentina squad includes: Emiliano Martínez, Gerónimo Rulli, Juan Musso, Gonzalo Montiel, Nahuel Molina, Cristian Romero, Nicolás Otamendi, Lisandro Martínez, Leonardo
Balerdi, Facundo Medina, Nicolás Tagliafico, Rodrigo De Paul, Alexis Mac Allister, Enzo Fernández, Leandro Paredes, Exequiel Palacios, Giovani Lo Celso, Nicolás Paz, Valentín Barco, Giuliano Simeone, Nicolás González, Lionel Messi, Julián Álvarez, Lautaro Martínez, José Manuel López, and Thiago Almada.
Nico Paz would surely want his future sorted before Argentina’s first group stage match at the World Cup. Real Madrid are expected to bring him back to capitalize on a very low buy-back clause in the contract for the former Castilla star. Argentina will start their World Cup defense against Algeria on June 6 in Kansas City.
