Considered a slam dunk future WrestleMania main eventer for almost the entirety of his three-year NXT run, two years into Bron Breakker’s WWE main roster run both he and his fans have lodged complaints about his lack of momentum on Raw.
Those really picked up steam at Royal Rumble ion January when Breakker was eliminated immediately after entering the men’s Rumble due to attacked by a masked figure later identified as Seth Rollins. Bron would go on to lose his feud to Rollins, and is currently mired
in the wreckage of The Vision stable.
Into that comes the new season of WWE UnReal on Netflix, which dropped today (July 21). A scene from the show’s third season making the rounds shows WWE vice-president of creative writing Jonathan Baeckstrom pitching Breakker as the winner of the 2026 Men’s Royal Rumble, which he argued felt like an “more organic build” to the second-generation wrestler’s first ‘Mania main event.
But his boss, chief content officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque, turned that down, saying:
“The risk with Bron Breakker is everything from, ‘Can he actually do it?’, ‘Can he mentally handle it?’, ‘Will fans accept it?’ So you have to really be sure…
“You can make a shocking moment out of it, but I still worry a little bit that it just feels like you’re just shoving him down your throat. I think we just need to think about it a little.”
As with all things UnReal — the docuseries which purports to give us a look at how the WWE sausage is made while also occasionally making a few links of its own — the question is whether this scene was included because WWE wants us to see it. Triple H “not believing in” Bron Breakker could be a powerful narrative for when the Badass does get his first WrestleMania title shot down the line… but maybe he just doesn’t believe?
