Late news
Adrian Siemieniec hasn’t done anything unexpected. With holding midfielder Taras Romanczuk and star striker Afimico Pululu both suspended, the team pretty well picked itself. Paolo Vanoli, on the other hand, has made 8 changes from the side that beat Como at the weekend. Luca Lezzerini makes his first Fiorentina start since 2016 (also a European game, oddly enough), while Niccolò Fortini, Jacopo Fazzini, Cher Ndour, and Roberto Piccoli fill out the lineup as well as the Viola aim to keep the starters
healthy for the Serie A run in.
Despite requests from both sides to postpone the game, it’ll proceed as scheduled. It’s currently -7°C/19°F at the Stadion Miejski and will only get colder. Jaga’s promoting the match admirably despite the conditions and we should see a crowded house, if not a full one. Only 350 Viola fans have made the trip. With the FIGC upholding the season-long ban on Fiorentina away support, this could be the last time the players get traveling fans until next year.
Lineups
Jagiellonia (4-3-3): Abramowicz; Wdowik, Pelmard, Vital, Wojtuszek; Imaz, Flach, Mazurek; Jóźwiak, Baždar, Pozo
Fiorentina (4-3-3): Lezzerini; Gosens, Ranieri, Comuzzo, Fortini; Fabbian, Ndour, Mandragora; Fazzini, Piccoli, Harrison
