Only one year after being selected with the No. 11 overall pick in the first round of the 2025 WNBA Draft, former TCU guard Hailey Van Lith has been waived by the Chicago Sky. Van Lith appeared in two preseason games with the Sky, scoring 20 points on 8-of-8 shooting with three assists in a 108-104 loss to the Phoenix Mercury on April 25. In her rookie season, Van Lith averaged 3.5 points, 1.6 assists and 1.1 rebounds on 12.4 minutes per game over 29 games played. She shot 33.9 percent from the floor
and 16.1 percent from 3-point range as a rookie.
The 24-year-old played her final collegiate season at TCU, earning All-American honors and receiving All-Big 12 First Team recognition. She was named both the Big 12 Player of the Year and the Big 12 Newcomer of the Year. Behind a core that included Van Lith, Sedona Prince and Madison Conner, a third-round WNBA Draft pick in 2025, TCU went 34-4, won the Big 12 championship and advanced to the Elite Eight for the first time ever.
