The Missouri Tigers will look to ruin the Oklahoma Sooners’ College Football Playoff hopes with an upset win on Saturday in Norman. In an interesting development, Beau Pribula might not be out for the season after all as there’s a chance he could play this weekend per Matt Zenitz.
We’ll know more about Pribula’s situation once the injury report comes out on Wednesday night, but if both are healthy and ready to play — Drinkwitz addressed in Tuesday’s press conference that he (Pribula) would be the starting quarterback. True freshman Matt Zollers is still listed as QB1 on the latest depth chart, however.
Obviously, Pribula is the more experienced quarterback as he guided Mizzou to a 6-1 start to the season prior to his ankle injury. While Zollers is only a true freshman — he has shown some promise for the future aside from his struggling first career start against No. 3 Texas A&M. From last week with Missouri’s playoff hopes gone, Hurst wrote that Zollers’ development is the most important.
The most important story line of Mizzou’s final month centers on Matt Zollers. His physical talent is obvious, but his development must be handled with care.
In his latest column, Nathan Hurst made the case for both quarterbacks to get the start. No matter what, it will be a tall task to upset the playoff-minded Sooners in Norman. So, in our latest SBN Reacts survey we ask you this: Who should get the start on Saturday vs Oklahoma?
