Rumors for the Day:
- The Wrestling Observer Newsletter says Brock Lesnar’s new WWE contract is for “very limited dates.” It sounds like WWE was “very confident” that Lesnar and AEW would not reach a deal during his time as a free agent.
- Per The Observer, Kenny Omega’s upcoming time off from AEW includes “going to Japan to see doctors that he’s scheduled to work with on his various issues, as well as do some things with New Japan and make television appearances and do media to talk about the career of Hiroshi Tanahashi, as well as get his Japanese visa updated.”
- Jon Alba says WWE is “trying to push John Cena’s last match as a destination weekend, with other events set around the Saturday Night’s Main Event taping.”
- Fightful Select mentioned that Britt Baker has remained in shape during her lengthy AEW absence and is ready to return.
- Sources close to AJ Styles told Sean Ross Sapp that his WWE contract expires around February 2026.
- According to F4WOnline’s Dave Meltzer, Will Ospreay’s neck surgery will happen “in a few weeks.”
- Meltzer says Paul Levesque sits atop the new creative structure at AAA. His “main creative help” includes Undertaker, Jeremy Borash, Konnan, and Dorian Roldan. The “key producers” are Pete Dunne, Lince Dorado, Savio Vega, Matt Bloom, Moody Jack, Chavo Guerrero Jr., and “one other person whose name I don’t know.” There is also “some input” from Shawn Michaels.
