Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NCAA. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Missouri fans and fans across the country.
The 13th-ranked Missouri Tigers (5-1, 2-1 SEC) are coming off a 27-6 win over Texas A&M last week. It was a much-needed “money off their back” for Mizzou. Eli Drinkwitz beat Mike Elko for the first time, and it was the Tigers’ first win over the Aggies since 2014.
What’s the next step for Eli Drinkwitz and this Mizzou Football program?
Beating a ranked team on the road. Missouri’s last road win against a ranked team was a 38-21 victory at No. 24 Kentucky on October 14, 2023. Since then, the Tigers are 0-7 in their last seven games.
Of course, ranked road wins are hard to come by. That’s just life in the SEC. However, if you want to become a playoff team – these are the type of wins you need on your resume.
Ole Miss, Mizzou’s opponent on Saturday in Oxford – comes in at No. 9 in the latest AP Top 25 poll. This sets up to be a massive opportunity for Missouri to get a statement win and legitimately contend for the College Football Playoff.
Per the current odds on FanDuel Sportsbook, the Rebels come in 6.5-point favorites. Can Mizzou breakthrough and pull off the upset on the road against a ranked team — or will Drinkwitz’s road woes continue.
In our latest SBN Reacts survey, we ask you this: What’s your prediction for Mizzou at Ole Miss on Saturday?
