Real Madrid striker Carlos Espí talked to the press right after scoring the game-winning goal against Elche. The Spanish attacker was visibly excited having scored his second decisive goal for Los Blancos.
“I’m very happy, the happiest man in the world. I try to help the team in any way I can, and every time I play, I give my all, so I’m very pleased. Starting like this has been a dream. This doesn’t stop; we’ll keep going because now Sunday awaits us. This is a team effort. Everyone who steps in makes
the most of their opportunities and gives their best,” he said.
Espí also praised Mbappé after the French star delivered a perfect assist for his goal.
“He’s incredible, it’s amazing to see him train and play. In this case, he provided me with the goal, and I’m very happy for him too,” he added.
The Spanish striker wrapped up his brief media appearance by previewing Sunday’s Derbi against Atlético de Madrid.
“I’m really looking forward to it, very excited. It’s my first derby here, and we’re going all out for it,” he said.
