Heading into her sophomore season, 5-9 point guard Paige Lofing has entered her name into the NCAA transfer portal. Hailing from Huntley Project in Billings, Montana, Lofing averaged 2.2 points in 6.4 minutes per 27 contests for the Gonzaga Bulldogs.
The young freshman’s stats may not have been eye-popping during her one season in Spokane, Washington, but she
had a couple of clutch moments for coach Lisa Fortier. None bigger than her deep three-pointer to send the road matchup against the Oregon State Beavers into overtime on Jan. 22.
The 2025 Montana Gatorade Player of the Year has had some big moments in small spurts off the bench throughout the 2025-26 campaign, especially at the Washington State Cougars on Jan. 31 with a career-high performance. She has the scoring pedigree and leadership qualities at this early point in her college career to succeed wherever she ends up.
The women’s basketball transfer portal opened on Monday, April 6, and after 15 days, it will close on April 20. Gonzaga has 10 of its 15 available roster/scholarship spots filled at this point in time, with just Lofing, senior guard Ines Bettencourt, and senior guard Vera Gunaydin leaving the program.
