What is the story about?
A day after being released by the San Antonio Spurs, forward Jeremy Sochan is signing with the New York Knicks. Shams Charania of ESPN reported the news, adding that Sochan “had 10 interested suitors” for his services upon news of his release. Charania’s source was Sochan’s agent, Deirunas Visockas.
Sochan played 12.8 minutes per game for the Spurs this season, appearing in 28 outings. He averaged 4.1 points and 2.6 rebounds per game, shooting 47.5% from the floor and 25.7% from the three-point arc.
The Knicks own a 35-20 record, third in the hotly-contested upper echelon of the NBA’s Eastern Conference.
Sochan will need to clear waivers without being picked up by other NBA teams in order for the Knicks signing to go through.
