Barcelona have seen an opening bid for Karim Adeyemi of €20 million rejected by Borussia Dortmund
but won’t match the Bundesliga side’s asking price. The Catalans are interesting in bringing the Germany star to Camp Nou and are confident they can get a deal done. However, they won’t pay the €40m that Dortmund are hoping for this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Dortmund are said to be willing to negotiate for Adeyemi, with the forward not expected to sign a new contract at the club and keen to make the move to Barcelona.
It seems that negotiations for the forward are likely to continue as Barcelona seek to add another attacker to the squad in time for the 2026-27 season.
Barcelona have already signed Anthony Gordon and remain in the hunt for Julian Alvarez. The club’s pursuit of Adeyemi is not expected to change Barca’s stance towards Alvarez.
A new bid is expected for Alvarez after he’s finished international duty with Argentina at World Cup 2026, with Barcelona seeking a €210 million loan to fund their summer spending spree.
