The Indianapolis Colts today released their Friday injury report for Week 1 of the NFL season ahead of their season finale Sunday game against the Miami Dolphins.
Running back Tyler Goodson is QUESTIONABLE for Sunday’s game against the Jaguars due to a knee injury. Goodson was limited at practice all week due to the elbow injury that he suffered during the pre-season. Goodson is a key backup at running back but has also taken on a larger
role on special teams as one of the team’s primary gunners. If Goodson is unable to play Sunday, expect a higher percentage of non-Jonathan Taylor reps to go to rookie DJ Giddens, and there may be a practice squad elevation for Khalil Herbert. The only other name to land on the injury report this week is Defensive Tackle DeForest Buckner, who missed practice Friday due to a veteran rest day but he goes into Sundays game with no injury designation.
The Colts will go into week 1s game against the Dolphins with a clean bill of health, hoping to break the opening day curse which had plagued them for over 10 years.
