What is the story about?
Shonda Staton has built one of the most consistent programs in Bloomington in her nine years leading Indiana softball.
The Hoosiers have made the last four NCAA Tournaments under Stanton’s watch, marking a new program record after Stanton already achieved three consecutive appearances in 2025. Four of the program’s eleven tournament bids in its history have come under Stanton.
Indiana is once again bound for the Knoxville Regional, where it’ll compete against Northern Kentucky, Virginia and host Tennessee
for a chance to advance. The Hoosiers will open NCAA Tournament play on Friday against Virginia.
