The Porland Trail Blazers’ “Jail Blazer” era has returned to the spotlight with a new Netflix documentary, focused on three key players in the saga.
Untold: Jail Blazers features the stories and commentary of Rasheed Wallace, Bonzi Wells and Damon Stoudamire as well as former Blazers General Manager Bob Whitsitt which spans Wallace’s Portland tenure.
The documentary highlights key incidents during Wallace’s tenure in Portland between 1996 and 2004, including the team’s infamous 2000 playoff run and the trio’s
clashes with law enforcement, the franchise, and the fanbase.
There’s also analysis of Zach Randolph, Ruben Patterson, and Shawn Kemp during their Portland tenures, as well as a 2025 reunion at the Moda Center, which Wallace chose not to attend.
Blazer’s Edge’s own Managing Editor Dave Deckard provide commentary as well John Canzano and Colin Cowherd, highlighting the impact on Portland and the broader NBA community during the period.
