The Baltimore Ravens have activated outside linebacker Tavius Robinson (injured reserve) and safety Ar’Darius Washington (non-football injury list), per a team announcement.
Both players are listed as questionable
for Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals, but their move to the active roster indicates they will play. Robinson was a full participant in practice on Thursday and Friday, while Washington has practiced in full since last week.
Robinson, 26, broke his foot in October and was placed on IR shortly after, though he did not need surgery. He was designated to return on December 2 and will return to the Ravens’ outside linebacker rotation. With the added depth of veteran Dre’Mont Jones at the trade deadline, Robinson will not have to return to the 65% snap share he occupied in the first six games of the season. The Ravens will be hoping he can close out the season with some flashes of the third-year breakout they were expecting this season.
Fourth-year edge rusher David Ojabo will likely be a healthy scratch on Sunday, and Robinson’s return could represent the end of his time in Baltimore. The 2022 second-rounder was hampered by injuries in his first two seasons and has not taken advantage of opportunities in the last two years. This year, he has struggled to set the edge or pressure opposing passers despite the trade deadline departure of Odafe Oweh and injuries to Robinson and Kyle Van Noy. If Baltimore’s outside linebacker room stays healthy for the rest of the season, Ojabo may have played his last snap in Baltimore.
The Ravens already had two open spots on their 53-man roster, so they did not need to make any corresponding moves with Saturday’s activations.
