Barcelona have reportedly made an early decision regarding January transfers and are not planning on bringing in any new players unless it’s absolutely necessary.
The Catalans invested in the squad in the summer by signing Rodri, Joao Cancelo, Gabriel Jesus, Karim Adeyemi, Anthony Gordon and Jesse Bisiwu and have started the season in fine style.
There’s been talk already that Barca could try to sign Julian Alvarez again in the winter, but economic vice-president Ferran Olive has said that if the Catalans
want to buy they will have to sell first.
A new report from Marca claims that Barca currently have “no intention” of signing players in January and will only change their stance if there’s “a serious injury, sale, or other highly unexpected situation.”
The word coming out of the club is that “the work is already done” and that Hansi Flick and Deco are happy with the first-team squad.
Flick also knows that he has a job on his hands keeping all his players happy this season, due to the wealth of options at his disposal, and does not think he needs any more reinforcements.
