After a hard-fought series against the Rockets, the Lakers will move into the second round against an even more daunting opponent in the Thunder.
The cream of the crop for the entire season, Oklahoma City’s sweep of the Suns in the first round means the Thunder have been patiently waiting for their next foe. It also means a rested team awaits the Lakers, to say nothing of them being the defending champions who finished the season with the best record.
It’ll be a steep uphill battle for the purple and
gold, who also do not have homecourt advantage in the series. They also not only lost the season series to OKC, but were throttled in three of the four meetings.
If you don’t feel optimistic about this being a long series, you probably aren’t alone. For as long as this first round matchup goes, we’ll have you covered with the schedule and TV channel or streaming service.
