Bayern Munich made a last minute deal to send Arijon Ibrahimović out on another loan spell. He scored one and almost scored another immediately after. Elsewhere, Javier Fernández picked up an assist, Magnus Dalpiaz scored a goal in the Austrian Cup, and Anna Wellmann went toe-to-toe with a familiar foe for FC Bayern Frauen fans. FC Bayern Munich
Germany – Bundesliga
Arijon Ibrahimović is the only player on loan in the Bundesliga
Arijon Ibrahimović – FC Augsburg
Ibrahimović was a late loanee, sent up the road to nearby Augsburg as the transfer
window shut. He scored three preseason goals for Bayern and was an unused sub in the Supercup and season opener for Bayern before transferring. He earned a starting spot for Augsburg immediately and helped them to a second victory in two matches. After a lackluster first half away to Eintracht Frankfurt, Ibrahimović scored in the 46th minute to equalize on the road.
As the broadcasters were still talking about the goal, Ibrahimović got behind the defense again and put a shot on goal that almost went in. The Frankfurt keeper made a scrambling save, but an Augsburg attacker put the ball into the net. Ibrahimović was subbed off in the 61st minute with his team up 2-1. Augsburg scored two more to win 4-1 away. This puts them at the top of the table after two weeks with six points and +6 goal differential.
Augsburg host Leverkusen on Saturday.
Spain – LaLiga
Bryan Zaragoza is the only player on loan to Spain’s LaLiga
Bryan Zaragoza – Espanyol
Zaragoza started on the bench for Espanyol as they took on Sevilla at home. He entered a scoreless match in the 75th minute, his team having a man advantage. He had just 12 touches in the final 15 minutes and did relatively little with them. He was not able to get a shot off, nor create a chance for his teammates to shoot. Sevilla scored in the 85th, but Espanyol was able to equalize in the 90’ +8 to share the points at home.
Espanyol will travel to face Osasuna on Saturday.
Germany – 2. Bundesliga
Felipe Chávez is the only player on loan from the first team to Germany’s 2. Bundesliga.
Felipe Chávez – 1. FC Magdeburg
Chávez started on the bench for Magdeburg away to Hertha BSC. He entered the match in the 84th minute, down 2-1 with both teams down to ten men. Chávez also had 12 touches, but did a bit better than Zaragoza. He had two shots — both blocked — created a chance for his teammates to shoot, and completed six of seven passes. Unfortunately this was not enough for Magdeburg to salvage a result. They fell 2-1 in Berlin.
Magdeburg will host 1. FC Kaiserslautern on Saturday.
FC Bayern II
Germany – 2. Bundesliga
There are two players from the second team on loan to Germany’s 2. Bundesliga: Javier Fernández and Deniz Ofli.
Javier Fernández – 1. FC Nürnberg
Fernández started and played the full 90 minutes for Nürnberg on the road to Holstein Kiel. He helped his team open the scoring in the 41st minute, when he assisted the opening goal. On the day, he had a shot attempt that was blocked and created two total chances for his teammates to shoot. He also helped back on defense with a blocked shot, an interception, and seven recoveries. Both teams scored a goal before half and then within ten minutes of the second half. Neither found a winner and the match ended in a 2-2 away draw — the first points dropped by Nürnberg.
Nürnberg will host Hannover 96 on Friday.
Deniz Ofli – Karlsruher SC
Ofli started for KSC as they took on Hannover 96 away. He was unable to contribute much in the attack but helped his team earn a point on the road in defense. He had two successful tackles, a clearance, an interception, and six recoveries. Ofli left the match in the 76th minute with his team down 2-1. KSC found a late equalizer to steal a point on the road.
Karlsruhe will host Energie Cottbus on Sunday.
Germany – 3. Liga
Richard Meier is the only player on loan to Germany’s 3. Liga.
Richard Meier – SV Meppen
Meier started on the bench for Meppen as they hosted 1. FC Saarbrücken. The guests scored early and often. By the time Meier entered the match in the 64th minute, his team was down 4-1. He was not able to get anything going for his team, but the guests scored two more to bring it to a humiliating 6-1 defeat at home.
Meppen will be away to SC Verl on Saturday.
Austria – Bundesliga
Magnus Dalpiaz is the only player on loan to Austria’s Bundesliga.
Magnus Dalpiaz – TSV Hartberg
Dalpiaz started for TSV Hartberg in their Austrian Cup match away to third division side, Vorwärts Steyr. He scored a goal in the 42nd minute to make it 4-0 right before halftime. Hartberg must have held back in the second half and cruised to a 4-0 win.
Hartberg will return to league play on Sunday with a trip to WSG Tirol.
Spain – LaLiga2
Julien Yanda is the only player on loan to Spain’s LaLiga2.
Julien Yanda – Eldense
Yanda was not in the matchday squad for Eldense’s scoreless draw at home against Mallorca.
Eldense will travel to face Sporting Gijón on Sunday.
FC Bayern Frauen
Spain – Primera División Femenina
Anna Wellmann is the only player on loan to Spain’s Primera División Femenina.
Anna Wellmann – SD Eibar
Wellmann started for Eibar on the road and played the full 90 minutes against Real Madrid. She recorded eight saves and kept a clean sheet to earn a tough shutout on the road. Her counterpart — former Wolfsburg and Germany keeper, Merle Frohms — also kept a shutout, though she did not have to make a save to get hers. Wellmann was named the player of the match for her stellar performance. The match ended in a 0-0 draw.
Eibar will host Levante Badalona on Sunday.
