The list of former Cleveland Browns to depart the team after three or more seasons grew by one with the trade of DE Myles Garrett. While we do not have a resolution with OL Joel Bitonio, this offseason has seen its fair share of Browns foundational pieces (to different degrees) depart, on top of Garrett and possibly Bitonio:
OLmen Jack Conklin and Ethan Pocic also remain on the free agent market after injury-riddled seasons.
Teller’s departure was followed by a number of social media posts from his
wife aimed at the Cleveland organization or former HC Kevin Stefanski. Teller’s tenure ended somewhat unceremoniously as he was rotated in and out of the right guard spot that he had held for four-plus seasons as a top player.
Speaking to the local media, Teller had some interesting comments about his play, effort, preparedness, and the blame that was thrown at the Browns offensive line for the 2025 season:
Teller walked a fine line between taking some accountability while not accepting full blame for Cleveland’s offensive struggles. Overall, Teller’s assessment is fair; the Browns offense had a lot of issues last year, but the former highly paid right guard may not be the right messenger.
What do you think of Teller’s comments about the final year plus with the Browns?
