Dana White’s days as CEO of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) could be numbered if the world-renowned promoter takes President Donald Trump up on his latest offer.
On Saturday, President Trump took to Truth Social to post a message to White and a few select fighters. In his message, Trump officially offered White the press secretary job of the United States. The role has been filled by several other people over the years —including Karoline Leavitt and Katie Zacharia — but Trump is looking for
a fresh start.
Check out the President’s post below:
“I am pleased to announce that the Great Dana White, a violent Fighter and Warrior, has been offered the job of Press Secretary of the United States,” Trump wrote. “I have requested that he bring with him assistants, even though some are not from our Country, of Islam Makhachev, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Justin Gaethje, Daniel Cormier, Amanda Nunes, and Kayla Harris.
“We need these people to defend us against the Lunatic Left. Dana will be a Press Secretary like none other. Dana, please take the job!”
White, who has been friends with Trump since the early days of UFC and a big advocate during Trump’s two presidential campaigns, responded to the invite via Instagram. The long-time UFC CEO wrote “on to the next chapter” accompanied by a photo of him in the Oval Office, but it’s unclear how serious White is.
