Barcelona are once again being linked with defensive reinforcements, with president Joan Laporta reportedly dreaming of landing Pedro Porro from Tottenham.
Porro has been linked with a move to Barcelona previously and is believed to be keen to return to Spain and play in La Liga.
According to Diario Sport, Laporta has wanted Porro for some time and was impressed with the defender’s performances at World Cup 2026.
Deco is also a fan of Porro’s and the club are said to have make tentative enquiries last
summer but were put off by Tottenham’s valuation. Spurs want at least 60 million euros for their World Cup winner.
The price tag means a January move looks out of the question, but Barcelona could still try to strengthen defensively in the winter window.
Sport say Barcelona are on the lookout for a “market opportunity” and are targeting a central defender, leaving any approach for Porro until next summer.
