It was a lively weekend for sports with the Super Bowl, Winter Olypmpics, the opening weekend of college softball, and Nebrasketball getting back on track. There were no former Huskers playing for the Seahawks or Patriots, but one former Husker was coaching.

recaps below, you’ll see that the #9 Husker softball team had a very good weekend. They split games with #1 Texas and #25 Washington. According to Nate Rohr, this was the fourth time Nebraska has beaten the #1 team. This Husker offense looks like a contender.

Saturday’s win over the Scarlet Knights marked the Huskers’ sixth conference road win of the season, which is the most in program history. Achieving this feat is beyond impressive for Nebraska, which looks to add onto this record with three road games remaining on its slate.
