Well, transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano has called off the fight — FC Barcelona has won the sweepstakes for Newcastle United attacker and Bayern Munich transfer target Anthony Gordon.
Romano gave his patented “Here we go!” which more often than not results in a completed transfer:

Bayern Munich was in the early lead to get Gordon, but did not advance on its preliminary discussions, while FC Barcelona swooped in to make a dramatic surge ahead and procure Gordon. Now, Bayern Munich looks set to move to Plan B, but who that will be remains open.
Last summer, Bayern Munich was linked to at least half a dozen attackers. Will any of those names resurface?
