Today, the Washington Spirit announced that they have place defender Kate Wiesner and midfielder Deborah Abiodun on the 45-day injury (D45 list).
Wiesner suffered a fractured ankle in the 1-0 home win over Bay FC this past weekend. She underwent successful surgery earlier this week. The defender has made 20 appearances (15 starts) including two assists.
Abiodun is dealing with a hip injury. In 2026, appeared in nine matches (four starts).
Both will work with the club’s medical and performance staff
as they work back from injury.
