The Pittsburgh Steelers are still making moves after the initial 53-man roster was released on Sunday afternoon. The biggest question was whether the Steelers would keep all four quarterbacks on their 90-man roster or would they try to sneak one of their rookies onto the practice squad. Now, that is incredibly risky, as a few teams would have looked to poach Will Howard or Drew Allar.
Fast forward to Tuesday, and the Steelers have Aaron Rodgers, Mason Rudolph, Howard, and Allar on the 53-man roster
and will roll with all four for the foreseeable future. Clearly, Mike McCarthy and the organization didn’t want to part with either quarterback as the team is looking for a new franchise QB with Rodgers retiring.
The Steelers want as much depth as possible, and you can’t blame them.
