The big story heading into the Cleveland Browns matchup with the New Orleans Saints is the visiting team’s quarterback position. Shedeur Sanders will start, but Deshaun Watson has cleared concussion protocol and could be set to be the backup, after missing practice all week.
On the other side, the home Saints are coming off their bye week, made a position coach change, and the final injury report provided hope that WR Jordyn Tyson and OT Kelvin Banks Jr. could return
from injured reserve.Tyson, New
Orleans’ first-round pick, has not played at all this season with a hamstring injury. Banks was the Saints’ first-round pick last season and started all 17 games for the team as a rookie in 2025, but went on injured reserve after two games this season.
Saturday afternoon, New Orleans officially activated both Tyson and Banks off injured reserve, along with four other moves:
- Waived RB Kendre Miller
- Waived TE Treyton Welch
- Elevated K Charlie Smyth
- Elevated RB Zamir White
Given Tyson’s injury history in college, it will be interesting how much playing time he is allowed in Week 9 against the Browns, while Banks is likely to take back over at left tackle.
