Bayern Munich are finally reaping the rewards of building a long-term project with a singular coach. Under Vincent Kompany, many players are playing better than ever or back to their top form. Joshua Kimmich is no exception as he has continued to dominate under Vincent Kompany with Bayern Munich this season. Despite the importance of Bundesliga titles, it is clear the club has their eyes on the ultimate prize, a Champions League title.
Joshua Kimmich loves to win and it is no secret that the German
superstar wants to play every single minute he can. Luckily for him and Bayern, Kimmich has self-reported that he will play on Wednesday in the much anticipated fixture against Arsenal.
As reported by Tz and captured via @iMiaSanMia, Kimmich confirmed that he will “definitely” be taping his ankle and playing against Arsenal. Excellent news for fans as Bayern will need all hands on deck for what should prove to be a difficult fixture in London on Wednesday. This comes after suffering a setback with the national team, where it was reported that the German veteran picked up a ligament injury in his right ankle during training in the November international break.
While it is great to know Kimmich will be back in the lineup, Kompany will need to keep injury risk to a minimum or suffer the same fate as last season when Bayern missed key players in the most important stretch of games. Here’s hoping to a result at the Emirates and most importantly, a healthy squad.
