Rueben Bain Jr. is among the five prospects the Tennessee Titans should consider taking at No. 4 overall in the 2026 NFL Draft. David Bailey, Arvell Reese, Jeremiyah Love, and Sonny Styles are the other four. Unsurprisingly, the Titans are doing their homework on Bain.
Bain recently interviewed with CBS Sports after Miami’s pro day. The Hurricanes standout pass rusher confirmed he’ll be visiting the Titans soon. That marks the Titans’ second official touchpoint with Bain, after they had a formal interview together
at the NFL Combine.
The Titans would benefit from adding a top-tier pass rusher to the roster. They traded for Jermaine Johnson II and signed John Franklin-Myers in free agency. Those two are set to join Jeffery Simmons and Femi Oladejo (?) as the four starting defensive lineman, per the current roster. Jacob Martin, Jaylen Harrell, Solomon Thomas, and Jordan Elliott are the rotational players.
Drafting Bain would remove Oladejo from that projection. Oladejo would become a rotational defender, and Robert Saleh loves to rotate pass rushers. That’s probably where last year’s second-round pick belongs until he proves capable of producing at a starting-caliber level.
Bain produced 9.5 sacks and 15.5 tackles for loss this past season. He was downright dominant during the Hurricanes’ College Football Playoff run to the National Championship. Bain played with Titans quarterback Cam Ward in 2024, with Ward going on record saying he’d love to reunite with the pass rusher in Tennessee.
Bain measured in at the NFL Combine with historically short arms, under 31 inches. Bain also didn’t partake in any testing drills during the combine or at Miami’s pro day, making the questions about his athleticism even louder. The Titans would have to be comfortable ignoring the arm-length and athleticism concerns to take him at No. 4 overall.
The tape is outstanding.
