The time has come, Rumblers! Week 4 is here and the Buffalo Bills are ready to take on the New England Patriots in the last of their early season three-game home stand at spectacular Highmark Stadium. Eight months ago, quarterback Josh Allen and the rest of One Bills Drive watched the Patriots trudge through the back half of the playoffs en route to a Super Bowl berth.
Buffalo and New England never met in the playoffs, so Allen and company didn’t get a say in Maye’s fate last season. It’s easy to
imagine that as a scenario that eats at this team, especially those players and coaches in the midst of lengthy featured tenures with the Bills.
Whatever happens today won’t have anywhere near the ramifications that a playoff game carries, but it could go a long way toward impacting any potential playoff rematch. Simply said: Bills-Patriots in Week 4 is a big deal, with a lot at stake.
Buffalo’s offense tore through the first two weeks of the 2026 season before sputtering against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 3. Will the Bills find their groove again and hand the Patriots a crushing blow in the AFC East race?
That’s what we’re all here to find out. Buffalo will have to do things without a key starter on defense. After failing to practice at all this week, cornerback Christian Benford is out for today’s game thanks to a toe injury he picked up in Week 3.
Whatever happens at Highmark Stadium, we have you covered with all the news and Bills-centric content you could ask for today at Buffalo Rumblings. Remember, you can catch Chris Trapasso and former Bills center Mitch Morse all afternoon during their radio show on the Buffalo Bills Radio Network and their flagship radio station of 97 Rock (WGRF-FM) in Buffalo!
With that, here’s your open thread for the duration of today’s game. As always, be kind to one another — and in all things… Go Bills!
