After starting the season 2-1, the Utah Jazz have not gone 1-5 since and are now at the bottom of the standings again with a 3-6 record. With Walker Kessler now out for the season, the Jazz’s center depth
is seriously compromised.
I’m not sure if that’s what they wanted, it’s not really clear what exactly the Jazz want, but it is the best path forward. This upcoming NBA Draft is absolutely stacked at the top with superstar talent that will change the teams that are lucky enough to pick at the top.
Darryn Peterson is looking like an absolute superstar guard and will be a dominant force from day one in the league.
AJ Dybantsa at BYU is proving he’s worth the hype with a blend of size, skill, and athleticism that has consistently translated to wins in the league.
Oh, and Cam Boozer is also in this draft. Boozer is a dominant force at the power forward who has won at a high level everywhere he’s gone. The fact that he looks like the third pick in this draft shows just how crazy it is to be at the top of this lottery.
However, that’s not all, more players are rising in this draft. Caleb Wilson is looking like he’s solidifying himself in the #4 spot, thanks to his impressive mix of size, skill, and athleticism as well. I also love that he’s known as a dominant defender.
I also loved this video of Caleb Wilson. A guy who carries a chip on his shoulder like this is someone you know is going to get better in the NBA. I love Caleb Wilson.
Finally, we have to talk a little bit about Nate Ament, Mikel Brown Jr., and Koa Peat, who are also starting to make their case to rise in the lottery.
Nate Ament’s measurables at 6’11” are Durant-esque.
Koa Peat looks like an absolute athletic force with room to grow.
Finally, Mikel Brown Jr. has continued to impress following his incredible stint with USA Basketball U19. He’s an incredibly dynamic guard that could be a steal in this draft considering he hasn’t been given a lot of minutes. P.S. I hate college coaching as someone who watches to see prospects play.
