As we get closer to the Eagles season opener, Jalen Hurts has been making the rounds and giving interviews, but his recent sit-down with Jason Dumas for 6abc Philadelphia showed that the QB will open up if asked the right questions. Fans want to hear Hurts appreciate the city, and he revealed that he would have a hard time finding the words to explain just how special it is.
“It’s a special place. I don’t think my words could — I don’t think I could even find the words to explain right now what the city
is, and how valuable it is for sports, and sports culture. It has a special edge, and as a player, I just try to carry my edge, carry my competitiveness, carry my love and drive with me wherever I am. So, it’s been great to be able to grow and learn the things that I have in this city, and to build and experience special moments like we have. And so, its just a start of a new journey now, and I’m excited for that.”
Hurts also talked about how he wants to honor the platform that football gives him, and said he’s very intentional with his time and making sure to show up for the communities looking up to him.
He also gave a little insight into his game day routine, which isn’t too structured, but is filled with good music. The QB said he doesn’t have a specific song he puts on as he heads to the game, and instead lets the music find him. Still, Hurts pointed out that one of the best parts of game day is getting to listen to so much good music up until kick-off.
