Some of the Windy City Gridiron staff made their picks for several 2026 individual season awards, and we’ll cap the predictions off by picking Super Bowl LXI. We’ve been running through all our picks the last couple of days, and we wrap the series up with our pick for the big game.

Bryan Orenchuk: I expect Buffalo Bills over the Los Angeles Rams in the Super Bowl!
Josh Sunderbruch: It’s a quarterback league, so long as the quarterback has a minimum level of help. Cincinnati Bengals over Los Angeles Rams.
Sam Householder: I should have retired from Super Bowl picks when I nailed Ravens over 49ers 14 years ago. But anyway, it’s hard to pick against the Rams, but that seems way too easy. Give me the Bills over the Philadelphia Eagles.
Donald Gooch: The San Diego Chargers vs the Chicago Bears, and the Bears win 38 to 28.
TJ Starman: It isn’t the most fun prediction, but I’m going to have to go with the Rams over the Houston Texans. Both teams have talent on both sides of the ball and are led by really strong defenses. Obviously, the Rams have made waves this offseason, but with how competitive the NFL is, the moves they’ve made to improve an already great team are enough reason for me to choose them as any.
Mongo Peanut: Rams over the Bengals. In a rematch of the 2023 SB, the Rams have their way again with Burrow. I just have a hard time imagining a reality where one of the best teams in the league adds three elite defenders and doesn’t win it all.
Gary Baugher Jr.: Baltimore Ravens vs. Rams with Stafford, Garrett and Co. take home another ring.
Erik Duerrwaechter: Chicago Bears vs. Denver Broncos – I’m picking the Bears as a young team on the rise against a tough and experienced Broncos squad. Ultimately, I trust Caleb Williams in big moments more than Bo Nix. That will be the deciding factor.
Lester A. Wiltfong Jr.: I hope I’m wrong, but I can see both home teams staying home and playing in Inglewood, California’s SoFi Stadium in LXI as the Los Angeles Rams knock off the Los Angeles Chargers.
Jeff Berckes: Bearszzzz
Superfans: I’ll have to double-check JB’s mustache game, but with a prediction like that, he could join us at Ditka’s for some libations and tasty vittles. We think the NFL will want to make it a fair matchup, so they’ll pick an All-Star squad of AFC players to take on the NFC Champion Chicago Bears, which will make for a nail-biter. We predict: Da Bears 74 – AFC Sacrificial Lambs 10
