As if we didn’t have enough drama going on off the pitch, this weekend we also travel up north to the cold and the wind and maybe the snow, to take on a Manchester City team trying to keep Arsenal and a title fight within their sights.
To further complicate matters, we will be doing so without Moisés Caicedo, who picked up a yellow card against Bournemouth and will thus be serving a one-match suspension for yellow card accumulation. (While that specific caution was rather harsh, he committed an actual
card-worthy offense a bit later in that game, so I don’t think he would’ve escaped this fate.)
And we still could be without Marc Cucurella, too. He has returned to training but remains doubtful for the match, as per interim head coach Calum McFarlane. Backup left back Jorrel Hato’s status is also unknown, having missed the last couple games with an unspecified ailment.
Levi Colwill, Dário Essugo, and Roméo Lavia remain out.
