Welcome to The Long Forecast on NetsDaily.
As the college basketball season rolls on, new names are forcing their way into the conversation as the draft picture continues to become clearer.
Where do Brooklyn’s picks sit?
Since last week’s
column, the Brooklyn Nets are 0-3 and currently own the league’s fifth-worst record (11-25), while their second-round selections are currently slotted at No. 35 and 44 overall.
Here are the latest mock drafts from Tankathon and Bleacher Report.
Risers
Throughout 17 games this season at Wake Forest, Harris is averaging 20.4 points along with 6.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists, while shooting 46.2% from the field and connecting on 33.9% of his attempts from three-point range.
Over his past two games, Harris has scored 28 points, while his three-point average, where he has struggled the most this season, has increased drastically, converting on 45.9% of his opportunities from beyond the arc throughout that span.
At the next level, Harris projects as a big guard/wing with shooting upside.
Henri Veesaar, UNC
During Sunday’s matchup against Wake Forest, Veesaar poured in 28 points, while the seven-footer continues to be a reliable option on Hubert Davis’ squad.
At 7’0”, he is a quick mover who is continuing to develop an outside shot while being a strong attacker at the rim.
He has NBA-level tools, but the main thing that will hold him back on draft night is age. The Estonian native will be 22 years old by draft night.
Fallers
Following strong measurable results at the 2025 combine, Byrd had ample hype entering the season; however, that has since faded.
He was viewed as someone who could be a fringe lottery selection if he took a stride this season as both a shooter and finisher. The issue, though, is that he hasn’t taken that projected leap forward.
While there is still time to get on the right track, Byrd’s stock has fallen.
Sleepers
Through 16 games this year, Reaneau has dominated in silence while being a highly productive piece for the Hurricanes.
He is averaging 20 points per game along with 2.3 assists and 6.6 rebounds on 57.5% shooting from the field, while knocking down 37.8% of his chances from beyond the arc.
Reaneau is a quick mover who is a strong rebounder on both ends of the floor and has what it takes to be a long-term NBA piece.
Spotlight of the week
Throughout 16 games this year, Flemings is averaging 15.7 points along with 5.1 assists and 3.3 rebounds on 52.7% from the field while shooting a whopping 40% from three-point territory.
He glides across the floor with burst, consistently finding clean paths to the basket. What truly stands out on tape, though, is his feel for the game and his ability to create opportunities for others. At 6’4” and 190 pounds, Flemings is naturally quick and has a great feel on offense.
He has forced his way into top 5 consideration with his performance this season.
