Last week, a report out of Italy indicated that Juventus striker Dušan Vlahović had Bayern Munich, Real Marid, and FC Barcelona as teams he would be open to moving to after the season when he will be a free agent.
According to a report from Sport Bild, though, Bayern Munich might not have the same kind of interest in the Serbian:
According to the Italian newspaper “Gazzetta dello Sport,” Juventus star striker Dusan Vlahovic (25) is said to be interested in joining FC Bayern next summer. According to the report,
Bayern, along with FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, and possibly top English clubs, are among the clubs for which the Serb would leave Juventus in the summer of 2026.
The contract of the 38-time international (15 goals) with the Old Lady expires at the end of the season. Should no extension be agreed, Vlahovic will be free to negotiate a free transfer with other clubs starting in January in the summer of 2026.
And according to the report, it currently doesn’t look like Vlahovic will stay at Juventus long-term. The report states that there has never been any scope for an extension in the last year and a half. There were already numerous rumors about a Vlahovic transfer in the summer.
The relationship between club and player is clear – the trend is towards departure. One thing is clear at Bayern : Harry Kane (32) is unconditionally guaranteed to be their top striker. The English mega-star’s contract with Munich runs until 2027. As of now, Vlahovic is not an option for the German record champions – even if the striker himself is interested in a move to Munich, as reported by the “Gazzetta”.
BFW Analysis
The report is operating under the assumption that Kane fulfills his contract — which just about every Bayern Munich would be in favor of. However, Kane is also chasing Alan Shearer’s Premier League goal scoring record and has a young family that could be looking to get schooling going back in England once again. Many expect Kane to heavily consider a return to England in 2026.
So…what should we take out of this? If Kane stays, Bayern Munich would have no reason to pursue Vlahović next summer. However, if Kane moves on (which would be awful), there is no reason to think that Bayern Munich would not at least kick the tires on the 25-year-old.
When Bayern Munich traveled to Sinsheim on a short week after taking down Chelsea FC in the Champions League, it was never going to be easy.
Hoffenheim is well-coached, motivated, and playing with a real fire. For a weary Bayern Munich side, that meant trouble, but Vincent Kompany heavily rotated his men and while it was not always dominant or even pretty, the Bavarians showed their grit once again in a 4-1 win.
