Barcelona have confirmed that Lamine Yamal has been sidelined once again with injury and will miss the next few weeks through injury.
Yamal returned from injury against Real Sociedad and also featured against Paris
Saint-Germain but has still not shaken off his previous knock and will miss the next 2-3 weeks.
Here’s Barcelona’s official statement: “The discomfort in the pubic area that player Lamine Yamal has been experiencing has reappeared after the match against PSG. He will be out for the Sevilla game, and the estimated recovery time is 2-3 weeks.”
Yamal will miss Sunday’s match against Sevilla and will also pull out of the Spain squad after being named on Luis de la Fuente’s latest list for World Cup qualifiers against Georgia and Bulgaria.
He’s also likely to sit out matches against Girona in La Liga and Olympiacos in the Champions League, but Barcelona will be hoping he’s fit to face Real Madrid in El Clasico on October 26.
