The Yankees have pushed their win streak to seven games following the finale of their Red Sox series, sweeping the Nationals and putting the White Sox on the verge of a four-game set ending with broomsticks as well. It wasn’t a blowout win this time, as the Yankees wasted an opportunity to end it in nine innings and needed a couple extra before the bats broke out and got a sizeable lead.
Before we get to our matinee series finale, we’ve got a couple of things to run through. First, Jeremy opines on
how Trent Grisham has defied his expectations and truly adapted as a hittet. Then, Peter has the Rivalry Roundup where plenty of positive results for the Bombers’ playoff hunt occured, and after the game John has the weekly social media spotlight.
