Nothing, and I do mean nothing has gone right for the Cincinnati Reds for the better part of two weeks. On Saturday, they’ll once again get the chance to show they’re better than they’ve been during this brutal 8-game losing streak, and they’ll fortunately have their resident ace on the mound in young Chase Burns.
The Houston Astros will counter with righty Spencer Arrighetti, who’s off to a wonderful start to his season so far. He’s got some underlying data that suggests the Reds could still get
to him, though, as he sports a 5.5 BB/9, 1.30 WHIP, and a low BABIP of .263. Maybe, just maybe, today’s a day the Cincinnati offense can get untracked.
First pitch is set for 4:10 PM ET in Great American Ball Park. Lineups for both Cincinnati and Houston are listed below, and yes, that’s still TJ Friedl in the leadoff spot for the Reds.
