EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J.. — Even though he did not practice all week, Brian Burns will play Sunday for the New York Giants against the Tennessee Titans. Burns, a team captain who had 16.5 sacks last season, is notorious for playing despite injuries.
Burns being available Sunday, though, had to be unexpected after he was injured Monday night against the Los Angeles Rams.
The Giants will be missing cornerback Deonte Banks and safety Tyler Nubin. Both starters have calf injuries. This will be the second
straight missed game for Banks, who is also a primary kickoff returner.
Running back Devin Singletary is a surprise inactive for the Giants. Cam Skattebo, Najee Harris, and Tyrone Tracy will be the running backs.
Also, defensive tackles Josh Tupou and Darius Alexander switch places. Alexander was inactive Monday vs. the Rams while tupou played. Sunday, Alexander will play while Tupou is inactive.
Former Giants cornerback Cor’Dale Flott, who had been questionable with a quad injury, will play for the Titans.
