Adam Copeland’s childhood dream came true. He grew up watching wrestling from Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Cope returned to the venue to wrestle in the main event of the MLP Northern Rising PPV (Oct. 3, 2026). He battled Steve Maclin in a heated fight with tables, ladders, chairs, and pepper spray. Copeland overcame interference with the help of a friend to stand tall in victory.
Down the stretch, Copeland got the upper hand for a crossface submission. Maclin refused to tap. Deonna
Purrazzo came to the ring to support her husband by pepper spraying the referee and Cope. Maclin hit his KIA finisher, then they set up the conchairto. Rhino rumbled down the ramp for the save to Gore Maclin. Purrazzo hit Rhino with a chair, so he Gored her too.
In the end, Maclin was on wobbly legs after hitting himself in the head with a chair as it bounced back off the ropes. An idea popped up in Cope’s mind. He sprinted the length of the ramp to deliver a crushing spear through the ropes. A second spear sealed the deal for victory and the happy ending to Copeland’s dream.
Several more matches were on the card. Three of which were title bouts.
Josh Alexander unified the MLP Canadian Championship by defeating interim champ Stu Grayson. This match was a slobberknocker with suplexes and strikes. Don Callis influenced the finish. He put Alexander’s foot on the ropes to break the pinfall from a piledriver. When Grayson had Alexander up for his Nightfall finisher, Callis pulled out a screwdriver on the apron as a distraction. Grayson took the bait at first, then he sensed the trap to blast Alexander with a running knee. He lifted for Nightfall again. Alexander pulled out a screwdriver to stab Grayson in the head. Earlier, Grayson kicked out of the C4 spike piledriver. This time, Alexander hit two C4s in a row for the win.
Priscilla Kelly retained the MLP Women’s Canadian Championship over Nikki Storm. Kelly rallied for a German suplex and her sliding forearm smash finisher to win.
New tag team champions were crowned. The Grizzled Young Veterans won Canadian gold in a three-way against reigning titleholders Sheldon Jean & Brent Banks and Sinner & Saint. James Drake and Zack Gibson took control in the end for a double Grit Your Teeth facebreaker to Jean for the win.
