On Wednesday, the Athletics released their 2026 Spring Training Schedule. The first game is away against the White Sox on Saturday, February 21. The first home game at Hohokam Stadium in Mesa is the next
day, Sunday, February 22 against the Cleveland Guardians. In addition to the typical Spring Training Season with games throughout the Cactus League stadiums, the A’s will play an exhibition game against the Brazilian World Baseball Classic Team on March 3. Details of that game have not been released yet. Later that week the A’s will host two games in Las Vegas against the Angels on March 7-8 at Las Vegas Ballpark. Experience all of this and more before the A’s kick off their second season at Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento on Friday, April 3, at 6:40 PM against the Astros.
A’s finalize 2026 Coaching Staff
MLB.com posted the following piece announcing changes to the A’s coaching staff for the 2026 season.
Ryan Christenson will rejoin the A’s as first base coach and Bobby Crosby will take over as third base coach on manager Mark Kotsay’s coaching staff for the 2026 season, the club announced on Wednesday. Darren Bush remains bench coach and director of hitting, while Mike Aldrete and Chris Cron will continue to serve as hitting coaches. Scott Emerson returns as pitching coach, and Dan Hubbs returns as bullpen coach. Marcus Jensen remains quality control coach, and Ramón Hernández will continue as Major League coach and interpreter. The A’s also announced the promotion of Josh Cuffe to director of strength and conditioning and the hiring of Terence Brannic as head strength and conditioning coach.
