Milan wanted Min-jae (Matteo Moretto via @iMiaSanMia)
AC Milan attempted to explore a move for Bayern Munich center-back Kim Min-jae, but was soundly shot down by the Bavarians:
Milan sporting director Igli Tare is a big fan of Kim Min-jae. Milan have made contact over the defender, but Bayern’s response was: ‘No. Kim is not for sale.’
In reality, Bayern Munich might have wanted to sell Min-jae at some point this summer, but the Bavarians can ill-afford to lose him now.
Heynckes doesn’t have same fire for football (Kicker via @iMiaSanMia)
Bayern Munich legend Jupp Heynckes has hit the point in his life where football just
does not hit the same for him.
“My interest in football has waned. I still follow Bayern, Mönchengladbach, Bilbao, Real, Barcelona and Spanish football in general, as well as top games in England and France. I’m selective. Interests – including those within the family – have generally shifted. I watch the big games, but sometimes I’d rather go to the gym than watch the Bundesliga,” Heynckes said. “There’s a glut of games, and consumers are overwhelmed. But that’s the only way the business works: The players earn exorbitant amounts of money, and the clubs have to generate the money. Football is just a commercial thing. TV dictates the unfriendly kick-off times.”

LFC not getting Rodrygo (Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg)
Liverpool was taking a look at Real Madrid attacker Rodrygo, but the deal will not happen:
🚨🔴 It is currently very unlikely that a transfer for #Rodrygo to Liverpool will happen before the Deadline Day. #LFC
There is a good chance that he will stay at Real Madrid if nothing extraordinary happens now.
Müller talks admiration for fans (Säbener51 via @iMiaSanMia)
One aspect of football that Thomas Müller that has always been the fans.
“The fans are part of the fascination of football. We’ve shared many moments together, tough defeats and great victories, which we’ve all felt. You might think that football, with its 90 minutes of play and sometimes just one goal or no goal at all, would be the Valium of the modern age. But that’s not the case. The game, the rivalry between the teams, the different cultures – it still grips us all,” Müller said.

Beier to Villa? (Sky Germany’s Patrick Berger)
This kid should have never left Hoffenheim.
At one point, Maximilian Beier was thought of as potentially being Germany’s next striker. Now…not so much.
With his growth stunted at Borussia Dortmund, Beier could be moving on:
🚨🟣 EXCL. Aston Villa are very interested in Maximilian Beier (22/🇩🇪). Villa have opened talks with the striker’s camp and are preparing an opening bid worth around £30m. #BVB is informed about it. But Villa will need to sell first due to FFP restrictions.
