Welcome back Nebrasketball Fans!
It is time for this team to build off the most successful team of all time. As per usual, there will be a fair number of new pieces to this team, but there are still plenty of building blocks to start with. We will eventually see a few guys as they return from injury, but I’m most intrigued as to what this starting lineup will look like and the subsequent depth from the bench.
The Huskers will eventually settle on a rotation, but this game will be a good starter I feel. Le Moyne shouldn’t be too much of a test, but it can give Nebraska fans a little insight on how things might look offensively and defensively. I’m looking forward to seeing how the new guys can gel with Frager, Sandfort and Jacobsen. I’ll be really interested in who can take over the roles on the team that Sam Hoiberg, Jamarques Lawrence and Rienk Mast leave behind.
So let’s get this thing rolling. Oh, and why hasn’t my call for a statue of Fred Hoiberg been built and erected yet? Seems like that should have been done in the offseason. Score Prediction: Nebraska 87 Le Moyne 62
